These special acorn caps are placed into a colorful mix of swirling Alumilite resins. Once turned down these will give your pen a beautiful and unique appearance. A real conversation starter! The acorn caps can have some voids in them as it is nearly impossible to get the resin to penetrate completely through. If this does happen, we suggest a filling any gaps with a color matched epoxy or CA. A top finish (like CA) is also recommended for these blanks. This unique formulation of acrylic to emulate various marble and granite textures. Your turned pens will have an elegant architectural look.
Description
An artisans dream in the workshop. This marvelous material sands, saws and drills easily. Resins and mica powders combine to create a durable product that will offer a lifetime of service once properly fastened to your liners or Pen. Care must be taken while creating your project as fantasy marble can shatter if dropped on a hard surface, or crack when pinning if you do not use proper techniques for fragile materials. The extra care is well worth the effort. Deep iridescent, slightly translucent colors come alive when polished with pink scratch fewer compounds at 4000 to 6000 sfm. Fiber spacers enhance the colors and add depth. Each piece has its own pattern, coloration and character, assuring that your project will be one of a kind. Available as listed in scales.
